DESIGNED FOR YOUR SPACE
Custom landscape design is the foundation of any yard built to last in Palm Desert. We design full-property layouts shaped around your home’s style and the harsh desert climate. Each plan factors in soil type, drainage paths and water-saving plant choices.
Skipping pro design is where most yards go wrong here. Homeowners pick plants that scorch in July, install pavers without the right base and then pay twice to redo it all. A real design protects your investment from day one.
Explore our custom landscape design.
From Boring to Stunning
Yard transformation is a top-to-bottom makeover of a tired, dated or unused outdoor space. We take yards that have gone brown, gravelly or overgrown and turn them into low-water, high-curb-appeal spaces that feel like a private resort. The desert is not friendly to neglected yards, but it responds to a smart redesign.
DIY transformations almost always fail here. The slope is wrong. The base prep gets skipped. The plant spacing is too tight. By the second summer, the new yard looks worse than the old one. A pro transformation done right holds up for 15 to 20 years.
We have transformed yards from Palm Desert to La Quinta to the edge of the Coachella Valley Preserve. Front yards. Backyards. Side yards. Pool surrounds. HOA-controlled lots.
Vision to Reality
Custom landscape design built for Palm Desert homes, lots and HOA-controlled communities. Every layout is drawn around the desert sun path, soil composition and water rules that govern this region. A pro plan beats trial and error every time and saves money over the life of the yard.
Our designers handle modern, traditional, Mediterranean and full xeriscape looks. You get plant palettes that thrive in 110°+ summers, hardscape that survives ground shift and lighting plans drawn before the wiring goes in. The result is a yard that holds value for 20 years, not 2.
Glow After Sundown
Outdoor lights that show off your yard at night and lift home safety after dark. Pathway lights, accent uplighting, deck and step lights and security-grade fixtures, all designed to work together as one system. The right lighting turns a good yard into a stunning one.
Desert glare, blowing sand and heat are brutal on cheap fixtures. The bargain-bin solar lights from big-box stores rust, fade and quit inside one season. Pro-grade low-voltage systems with the right transformer and burial depth last 10 to 15 years here. We design and install both new systems and full upgrades for older Palm Desert homes.
Curious how a pro lighting plan changes a property? See our outdoor lighting designs.
Hardscape gives your yard structure that plants alone cannot. We install stone, gravel, flagstone and retaining walls sized for desert soil.
Our base prep accounts for sandy, shifting ground. This keeps pavers level and walls standing through valley heat swings.
We rebuild your yard in zones, not all at once. This phased method lets you keep using parts of the space during the work.
Each zone is finished before the next begins. You see steady progress and never lose the whole yard at one time
Stone walls, fire pits, paver patios, outdoor kitchens and seat walls built to handle desert living. We work in flagstone, travertine, concrete pavers, decorative block and natural stone. Each build starts with the right base compacted, level and matched to our valley soil.
Amateur masonry cracks fast in Palm Desert. The 120° summer heat and 40° winter nights cause expansion and contraction that breaks weak joints. Pro masons account for that movement with the right mortar mix, control joints and base depth. Cut corners on masonry and the repair bill in year three will outpace what a good build would have cost.
Take a look at the kind of stone and paver work we deliver across the valley.
Tree pruning, palm skinning, full removals, stump grinding and seasonal care for the trees that define a Palm Desert yard. We work on date palms, queen palms, Mexican fan palms, mesquite, palo verde, olive, citrus and shade trees of every kind. Each cut is planned to protect the tree’s long-term health and your property below.
Valley tree work is not the same as tree work anywhere else. Our climate brings palm weevils, sooty canker and heat stress that crews from other regions never face. We know the local pests, the right pruning windows and how to skin a palm without scarring the trunk. That regional skill keeps your trees healthy through the toughest summers.
For pruning, removal or palm care, learn about our tree care.
High-grade artificial turf made for desert sun. The blades hold colour under direct UV. The backing resists heat warp. The infill stays cool enough to walk on. We supply and install premium turf grades, not the cheap rolls that melt or fade by year two.
Cheap turf fails fast in Palm Desert. Wrong infill turns the lawn into a hot pan. Thin backing splits at the seams. Low pile heights flatten and stay flat. A quality grade, correct base prep and a clean seam line separate turf that lasts from turf that gets replaced. We carry pet-rated, putting-green-grade and play-area-rated options.
Learn more about the turf grades, pile heights, infill choices and install methods.
Driveways, patios, walkways, slabs and pool decks poured for ground that shifts and bakes. We pour broom finish, stamped, stained and exposed-aggregate concrete. Each pour starts with proper sub-base prep, rebar grid and a curing window matched to desert weather.
Palm Desert concrete has a short list of failure points: wrong mix, wrong cure, wrong joint spacing. A slab poured in July without a cure blanket cracks before the year is out. A driveway poured over loose fill sinks. We know the mix ratios and pour windows that hold up here. Our concrete work in Palm Desert comes with a workmanship warranty and clean finish lines.
We plant species that thrive on desert rainfall alone. Good picks include agave, cacti, succulents, and native desert shrubs.
These plants handle full sun and sandy soil with ease. They give your yard color and shape without heavy watering.
Drip lines send water straight to the roots, not the air. Paired with timed controllers, they cut waste sharply in our dry climate.
The system runs on a schedule you set and forget. Your plants get exactly what they need, even in peak summer heat.

Benjamin, of Ultimate Pro Landscape did a great job laying cement. I appreciate his professionalism and the quality of his work. I look forward to his doing future projects for me.
Highly recommend this vendor. Benjamin is easy to work with. He has a terrific team. They work hard. They listen! They want to please the customer. Have used them for three projects and recommend them.
I really want to start by saying. This is the most professional landscaping company I have used. This is a family owned business and they go far and beyond to complete the project. The two projects I done with Ultimate pro Landscaping have been well planned and estimated. If you give this company a chance you will not regret it.
This is a family Landscape business and was the 1st to reach out after I requested help finding someone since we are not full time in California. Benjamin is the owner of the company and he was so good at presenting his stone product, and the job they did was simply amazing. Their quote was 25% less than others we tried. Not only a great NEW look to our yard but we were treated like family. Do yourselves a favor if you need stone or pea gravel work call Benjamin at Nunez Landscaping, I doubt you will not be disappointed. 5 ?
Yes, I recommend this pro $5,500 Benjamin and his team did a wonderful job with our front landscaping. They were able to complete the project in a short amount of time and made all the necessary changes to our sprinklers, planted pretty cactus and extended our driveway by 2 feet on both sides. They were dependable and we wonâ t think twice about calling them for future projects. THANK YOU again Benjamin.
Yes, I recommend this pro Our HOA hired Benjamin and team to repair our 1/2 mile fence. It required digging out old posts set in cement and replacing them. Replacing railings. It was a huge job. Not only did they complete the work on time, they were perfectionists. Where the posts surrounded trash cans, they measured to make sure each post was the same height. It required repairing irrigation if damaged in removing the posts--that wasn't in the bid. They did it on their own and then checked to see if the sprinklers were perfect. They were resourceful in finding water to make the cement. Benjamin has a "can do "attitude. They worked very long hours and cleaned up after the work was done. We've already decided to hire them for other work for the HOA. We highly recommend Ultimate Landscaping. We are lucky they were willing to come out to us in Marina del Rey. If you hire them, you will look around for more work to give them!
Yes, I recommend this pro $1,100,050 Ultimate Landscaping completely redid our front and backyard on time and on budget and it far exceeded our expectations. We ended up changing the design midway through the project (decided we did not want a rock river and opted for a walkway instead) and Benjamin did so cheerfully and without complaint. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the results and we highly recommend him.
Yes, I recommend this pro Love this family great work and very efficient

MEET
At Ultimate Pro Landscape, your yard is more than dirt and grass. While many landscaping companies in Palm Desert hand work off to subcontractors, we keep every job in-house. As a family-owned contractor serving Southern California, we stand for honest craftsmanship and clear communication.
Benjamin Reyes started the company back in 2019 after leaving college to build something real with his father. What began with small referral jobs has grown into a licensed operation serving Palm Desert, La Quinta and Indio. He treats every yard like a long-term relationship, not a quick transaction.
Landscape design is where we set ourselves apart. While other contractors quote off a rough sketch, we deliver full renderings of your finished yard before breaking ground. That extra step keeps surprises off your bill.

Yes, a professional landscape build adds real property value and works with the desert climate. Palm Desert homes face intense heat, water restrictions and tough soil conditions that DIY projects often get wrong.
A licensed landscaper picks the right drought-tolerant plants and sets up water-efficient irrigation. They also grade the yard properly to prevent damage during flash storms. The result is a yard that looks great, costs less to maintain and holds up for years.
Well-landscaped homes also sell faster and at higher prices than homes with poor outdoor design.
A realistic landscape budget in Palm Desert starts around $5,000 for basic builds and climbs to $40,000+ for premium projects. We break it down the way you'd shop for a car like Toyota, BMW or Mercedes packages. Pick the level that fits your yard and budget.
Basic packages cover plants, rock and standard irrigation. Mid-range builds add pavers, low-voltage lighting and artificial turf. Premium builds include custom hardscape, water features, outdoor living spaces and fire pits.
